In any of our classrooms, families may choose from a two, three, four or five day schedule. Either way, The Learning Well is an exceptional place for young minds to learn. Your children will be safe, warm, cared for, and will make new friends as they begin to experience the world around them.

Both of our locations follow the same curriculum. The Learning Well curriculum utilizes the age-appropriate Massachusetts Education Guidelines (MA Early Learning Guidelines for Infants and Toddlers, Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences, Early Childhood Program Standards and MA Standards for Preschool and Kindergarten). Each is geared to encourage and nurture growth during these formative, happy years. From art and stories, poems and music, introducing tools (rulers, crayons, child-safe scissors) to basic reading and counting, we’ll ensure your children are well-prepared (and even ahead of schedule) for the school years that lay ahead.
We also encourage “everyday learning,” such as discussions of the weather, appropriate news events, the natural world around us, and more. And, of course, continued learning of self-help skills, such as potty etiquette, washing hands, etc.
S.T.E.M. is an important component in The Learning Well curriculum. S.T.E.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. For infants, STEM is as simple as using sensory bags or bottles, or singing songs like "One, Two, Buckle my Shoe". With the older children, we build structures, solve problems, measure solids and liquids, and conduct actual science experiments! We discover what happens when vinegar and baking soda are combined (hint: they cause a chemical reaction which bubbles and sometimes "explodes") or what we get when we mix water and corn starch (we get 'Oobleck' like in the Dr. Seuss book Bartholomew and the Oobleck!) All of these are 'hands-on' activities which allow the children have fun and learn at the same time.
Here at The Learning Well, we mix care with fun and learning; and we give your child the specific attention he or she needs. As with all of our programs, we emphasize development and learning.
